Laser Scar Treatment is designed to reduce the visible appearance of selected scars and help them blend more naturally with the surrounding skin. At Aesthetic Space Lausanne, treatments are performed with the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus®, an advanced dual-wavelength laser platform combining Alexandrite 755 nm and Nd 1064 nm technologies. Scars can remain noticeable because of persistent redness, pigmentation or contrast with the surrounding skin. Depending on the type, colour and maturity of the scar, laser energy can be used to target these specific concerns and progressively improve its overall appearance. What Laser Scar Treatment can improve: • Redness and vascular appearance Laser energy can target visible vascular components that contribute to persistent redness, helping the scar appear calmer and less noticeable. • Uneven pigmentation Selected pigmented scars or discoloration around a scar may be treated to create a more even-looking skin tone. • Overall scar appearance By reducing colour contrast and visible irregularities, the scar may gradually blend more naturally with the surrounding skin. • Post-acne and post-inflammatory marks Certain residual red or pigmented marks may also respond to laser treatment, depending on their characteristics. Laser treatment may be suitable for selected surgical scars, post-acne marks, scars following injuries, red or vascular scars, and pigmented scars. Because every scar is different, an individual assessment is essential. Deep, depressed, raised or complex scars may require a different approach or a combination of treatments. During the procedure, precisely controlled laser pulses are delivered to the selected area. The Dynamic Cooling Device™ integrated into the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus® helps cool and protect the skin surface. Temporary redness or mild sensitivity may occur afterwards. Scar improvement is gradual, and several sessions may be recommended depending on the scar. No laser can guarantee complete scar removal. The objective is to make the scar less visible, reduce redness or discoloration, and improve its overall appearance. The goal is to make the scar softer, less noticeable and more harmonious with the surrounding skin.
