Service Description

Spider Veins Treatment is designed to reduce the appearance of small, visible blood vessels on the legs and create a clearer, more even-looking skin surface. At Aesthetic Space Lausanne, the treatment is performed with the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus®, using the Nd:YAG 1064 nm wavelength, which is particularly suited to selected vascular concerns on the legs. What are spider veins? Spider veins are small, superficial blood vessels that can appear as red, purple or bluish lines beneath the skin. They are usually a cosmetic concern and are different from larger varicose veins, which may be raised, painful or associated with underlying venous insufficiency. Our laser treatment is intended for small superficial leg vessels and spider veins. It is not a treatment for varicose veins or underlying venous disease. How does the treatment work? The laser delivers precisely controlled pulses of energy to the targeted vessel. The energy is absorbed by haemoglobin within the blood vessel, generating heat that causes the vessel to close. Over time, the treated vessel is gradually cleared by the body and becomes less visible. The integrated Dynamic Cooling Device™ helps cool and protect the skin during treatment and improve comfort. What can be treated? • Small red or bluish spider veins • Fine superficial vessels on the legs • Localised vascular networks • Selected visible capillaries Each treatment is customised according to the size, colour, depth and location of the vessels, as well as your skin type. How many sessions are needed? Some vessels may respond after one session, while others may require several treatments. The number of sessions depends on the extent and characteristics of the spider veins and your individual response. Sessions are usually spaced several weeks apart to allow the treated vessels and surrounding skin time to recover. After the treatment Temporary redness, swelling, mild bruising or darkening of the treated vessels may occur. Small crusts or temporary pigmentation changes are also possible. These reactions usually improve gradually. An individual assessment is essential before treatment, particularly if you have larger veins, pain, swelling or suspected venous insufficiency. The goal is to make visible spider veins less noticeable and achieve a cleaner, more even appearance of the legs.
